I`ve seen nothing new thus far from this game. I wanna see new feats, something that gets that sim experience closer to reality. By the looks of it they seem to be going the same route that polly took with gt4 which was not a huge improvment over gt3. Weather changes is a must have feat in a race sim.
So glad to own both consoles!!!! I`m a huuuge sim fan and this game and GT5 are the pinnacle of racing sims. I played all GT games and both Forza games, therefore i know.
I want weather changes and day/night cycle. And from that trailer is safe to say that there will be c0ckpitt view. I also demand open wheel cars, and thats all i want from a complete racing game.
I hope that the ingame gfx will look just as good as this trailer.
Where are all the other rally games? WRC, Richard Burns??? I love rally games but i was let down by dirt and i`ll hold back my enthusiasm towards Dirt2
This looks like my type of game. The older i get, the more i lose interest in shooters, but i can`t wait for this.
i`m yet to meet some1 who has suffered from it. I can`t say the same for the rrod where me and all my friends had experienced it. I`m sure ylod is out there, i`m not denying it, but is nowhere near the scale of the rrod.
F2 was a decent game but to me it felt rushed in every aspect, and it failed to deliver the nextgen racing experience that i was expecting. It was just slightly better than some last gen games. And because of F2 now i lost faith in forza series, and i believe that gt5 will smash f3, but i`m looking forward to be proven wrong.
Neither me nor any of my friends had experienced this mythical YLOD. And neither me nor any of my friends have had an x360 without the RROD. For me that shows the severity of the problem. I`m sure it exists but nowhere near to what this article is trying to insinuate.
There is nothing innovative about home but i really really like it. Any game gets boring if you play everyday but i never get bored of home and i use it everyday. I`m on home more than i`m playing games.
looks good but the speed seems a bit unrealistic. I know is not a sim but i thought is more sim than arcade.
I don`t think the GT fans rules out a racing game while waiting for their favorite game. I`m a GT fan but i play other racing games as well, but nothing gives me the satisfaction that i get when i play GT. The only game that comes close, in my book, is PGR, which is not even a sim. Forza2 was a huge let down for me in every aspect. Simbin games are good, the best sims, but they look worse than GT3, and don`t have much depth. I won`t even mention NFS.
If you only own a ps3 then is obvious that you will mostly play ps3 ;)
But trust me the x360 is a fantastic games machine, the only downside is its unreliable hardware, but if you ever purchase one you will get the full next gen experience. I am lucky to own both.
Uncharted and HS were The games for me. But that only cos GT5 is not out yet. While the x360 offers a huge library of games, far more than the ps3, only a handful of them has pushed boundaries like almost every ps3 exclusive.
What i don`t understand is why did they not use the slow-mo footage that they showed in the demo. I thought that was brilliant. Also who`s in charge with advertising this game, is it sony or GG? If is sony, then we all know that they are trying very hard to build a bad reputation in the advertising department.
Well the ps3 is the console that i use everyday, more than others, so yeah, i`m happy

never ever played a game that required me to swap discs on any console. Thats cos i dont play rpg`s. But if i was ever given the choice between 1 or multiple
discs on any console, i would no doubt choose the the less hassle option.
Well, pcs used multiple discs for decades and no one complained, so i don`t see it a problem from the consumers perspective. However, paying royalties to MS for each extra disc can be a problem for devs, who may find more convenient to dumb down the game to fit on less discs. It has not happened so far, but with devs consistently increasing the size of the games, is only a matter of time before that happens.
Well the x360 just does`t seem to make the huge graphical leaps that ps3 does. The x360 was available to devs one year longer than the ps3 was so, if the x360 was on par with the ps3, it would have been ahead graphically, but the ps3 has already surpassed the x360 in graphical terms.
In my opinion, the x360 has reached 80% of its power, while the ps3 is around 60%.
A release day for gt5 will be announced at TGS in september. As much as we`d all love for it to be released this year, is just not going to happen. Kazunori is well known for setting release dates well ahead and never actually making it by that date. So don`t be surprised if is coming next year. Take this from a huge GT5 who has been through this time and time again.
